Dead Island 2 - HDR Settings

Dead Island 2 Cover

This game does not seem to use the PS5 and Xbox HDR system calibration settings. Try to find data about the peak brightness of your TV on the site RTINGS.COM (value HDR peak brightness 10%) or see FAQ. Before adjusting, make sure you have set the TV settings correctly.

The game has several in-game settings:

Dead Island 2 - HDR Settings Screen

  • White Point - This slider adjusts the peak brightness in nits. Set according to the peak brightness of yours (relevant for TV with HGIG mode, otherwise see General FAQ).
$ads={1}
  • Black Point - Allows you to adjust the black level in the game. But this slider seems to have minimal impact on the image and it is recommended to leave the default value (0). If you have problems with the black level (the level is too strong or, on the contrary, the colors are too washed out), then use the black level settings of your TV.

  • Brightness - allows you to adjust the exposure level (the overall brightness of the entire image). Leave at default (25) or adjust to your preference. But keep in mind that increasing the value too much will reduce the visibility of details around light sources.

  • UI Brightness - Adjusts the brightness of the user interface. Adjust to your preference.
