Xbox HDR System Calibration Settings

Xbox HDR Game Calibration Settings Screen

Before adjusting, make sure you have set the TV settings correctly.

For step 1, set the black level to minimum (0 clicks). If the image of the game seems too contrasty to you, then you can try increasing the step 1 value by few clicks right.

For steps 2 and 3 in HGIG mode of your TV, get the symbol to become invisible. Try to find data about the peak brightness of your TV on the site RTINGS.COM. Knowing the peak brightness of your TV, you can check the values: press the LB+RB+LT+RT buttons during step 1, 2 or 3 to see the actual brightness values in the upper right corner.

If your TV always does tone mapping and this can't be turned off, then set it to a value of a few thousand nits.

    3. If you can disable TV Tone Mapping then either set the value according to the table or increase the value until it disappears.
If your TV always does tone mapping and this cannot be turned off, then precise calibration is meaningless. Set the value to a few thousand nits according to the table.

  2. @Nakirs Make sure Active Contrast/Adaptive Contrast is off to disable tonemapping (or a large part of it at least) this should make it easier to set the proper values in the app. I would also set local dimming to either medium or high, not maxi (if thats an option) as that is too aggressive and will cause issues.

Which U7G model exactly is this? EU/UK or US? Check the exact model number in the settings or on the sticker on the back and I can give you more specific help.
